The music of Hum was written by jenn mierau and the lyrics were written by Ursula Kowcun (with a tiny, little addition from jenn). The full story behind this serendipitous collaboration, can be read here. You can also watch the very first performance of the song (go to around 12:47 for the story and 18:58 for the song, if you don’t want to watch the whole show). The original recording of the “moment of creation” of this song will be made available soon, as well as an impromptu video. So to get those as well, join jenn’s mailing list or become a Facebook fan.

This first release of Semisquare Music also includes remixes by label-mates Hollis P Monroe and Leon Louder… an excellent start to this group’s collaboration.

This original version of Hum was recorded by jenn and José Aguirre and was mixed by José at La Hacienda Creative. The whole EP was mastered by Jeremy Reid.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in this release, and thanks to all of you for your support!
